With urea up 37% in three weeks following the Persian Gulf crisis, and the EU's carbon border tariff (CBAM) now fully in force, European farmers are facing input costs that make long-term planning nearly impossible. The answer is not finding a cheaper supplier — the structural dependency runs too deep. The answer is producing fertilizer on-farm, from waste that is already there.
